What About the Dubs of the Remaining Episodes?

The Boruto anime’s English dub history has been a bit controversial, to say the least. Fans have had to deal with restarts, contract changes, and streaming complications. And unfortunately, due to distribution issues and the pandemic, the English dub release of Boruto has been left in a state of limbo.

When the English dub of Boruto first began, there was a reasonable gap of about 50 episodes between the subbed and dubbed versions. But due to a forced restart of the release schedule via VIZ Media and the COVID-19 pandemic, the dub release has been moving at a snail’s pace.

As of now, only 189 episodes of Boruto’s English dub have been released via box sets. Each box set contains around 13 episodes and costs between $45-$50. However, there is some good news for those who prefer to stream their anime. Online platforms have started to catch up and release more English-dubbed episodes.

Unfortunately, there could still be licensing issues causing some legitimate streaming platforms to only offer a limited number of dubbed episodes. This might’ve led some fans to believe that production has ceased altogether, but fear not, there is still hope for a complete English dub release of Boruto.

So, what does all of this mean for those of you who prefer to watch anime in English? Well, it looks like you still have quite a bit of waiting to do. There are currently over 120 undubbed episodes that have been released to date.

But with streaming platforms slowly catching up and licensing issues hopefully being resolved, you can remain optimistic that the remaining episodes will eventually be dubbed and released for your viewing pleasure.

In the meantime, you may just practice your patience and re-watch your favorite dubbed episodes. Who knows, maybe you’ll discover something new that you missed the first time around.

Final Thoughts

It’s sad that Crunchyroll doesn’t have the English dubbed version of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations available. But you can still dive into the action with subtitles or opt for Vudu’s English dubbed version.

And while it may be frustrating to wait for the remaining undubbed episodes, don’t lose hope! Streaming platforms are slowly catching up. In the meantime, why not re-watch your favorite dubbed episodes and discover something new?
